- ➤ The popular Egg My Yard fundraiser returns this spring with a special autism-friendly option (featuring sensory-friendly eggs) and a glow-in-the-dark twist for extra fun. Families should register soon as spots are limited and proceeds will support local autism programs. Wiregrass Daily News
- ➤ The annual Pet and Kid Parade returns to Solomon Park on Friday, Jan. 24. Registration is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for $10, followed by free activities from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a one-block parade beginning at 1 p.m. with proceeds benefitting Wiregrass Humane Society. Wiregrass Daily News
- ➤ With subfreezing temperatures forecast tonight, First Baptist Church on West Main Street in Dothan will host a warming station from 7 p.m. until tomorrow morning. Other centers nearby offer warm meals and cots, and one in Enterprise requires calling (334) 393-2607 before 8 p.m. WTVY

- ➤ Southeast Alabama Community Theatre announced the cast for Annie after high turnout for auditions at the Cultural Arts Center on Jan. 12. The musical will run at the Opera House from March 10-14 with 7:00 p.m. shows (and a Saturday 2:00 p.m. matinee) while tickets will be available Feb. 23. Rickey Stokes News
- ➤ Pastor Joseph D. Bryant of St. John AME Church in Abbeville will lead a tribute for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. — the event celebrates his legacy and will bring the community together. WTVY

- ➤ David and Ryan spoke with a Dothan psychologist who offered mental health care tips for coping with winter's cold and short days. The advice helps locals adjust their routines (which can be extra tough in the season) for better well-being. WTVY
- ➤ Valerie Young and Paul Watson, experienced massage therapists at Massage Therapy of Ozark, share their background and offer personalized treatments to help local residents relax + boost overall wellness. WTVY
- ➤ More than 900 Alabamians died from drug overdoses in the year ending in August, a drop from the fentanyl peak, but counselor Kim Hart of SOAR Counseling said risks remain high in Dothan as addiction starts with alcohol and drugs. Hart urges treatment + support for those struggling with addiction. WTVY
- ➤ Southeast Health will host a Community Health Fair on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 8 to 11 a.m. at its Doctors Building, where residents can receive free health screenings and learn about preventive care. Wiregrass Daily News
