  • Joyful F.A.R.M.S in Ozark has partnered with the Dothan Kiwanis Club to supply free groceries to seniors 60 and older beginning February 18th. The initiative supports the Brown Paper Bag Program at the Wiregrass Area Food Bank (187 Roosevelt Avenue) to tackle food insecurity.  WTVY
  • Ozark Farm partners with the Kiwanis Club to fight food insecurity in Dothan by offering free vegetable distributions. The distributions will begin on Feb. 18 at local sites.  WTVY
  • Wiregrass Pets is hosting a Valentine’s fundraiser accepting $5 donations via Cash App & Venmo to name waste bags after exes or frenemies, with proceeds funding pet medical care and supplies. The creative event is running now in Dothan.  WTVY

CULTURE NEWS

  • Tim Commerford and rapper Tone Lōc will lead the Dothan Mardi Gras Parade today. The route starts at Girard and Choctaw, winds through the Garden District, and ends downtown (with nearly $300K in beads, toys, moon pies, and other throws) as nearly 50,000 locals join the family-friendly celebration.  Wiregrass Daily News

  • Area soldiers and Army civilians were honored at a quarterly retirement ceremony at Fort Rucker (recognizing their dedicated federal service). Officials noted the event celebrated years of commitment and contributions.  Dothan Eagle

  • Enterprise Women’s Center will close its doors on March 31 after 32 years of service, leaving local families with fewer healthcare options. The facility currently relies on one obstetrician-gynecologist and one nurse practitioner (raising concerns among local advocates).  WTVY
