Former Dothan mayor Mike Schmitz donated $25,000 to restore the historic Dupree School Community Center.

After Mardi Gras festivities ended, local parade organizers — part of the Krewe — asked residents to donate extra beads, cups, plush toys or other throws for use in next year’s celebration.
