- ➤ On April 25, 2025, the Arts and Crafts Center in Daleville will host a Paint-a-Pot event from 6 PM to 8 PM where families and friends make handmade pottery pieces. Registration is $15 which covers glaze, clear coat, and firing—extra pieces are available for purchase. Wiregrass Daily News
- ➤ Wiregrass Angel House will host the Shamrock Shuffle 5K on March 22, 2025 at the Westgate Tennis Center to support families who lost loved ones to violence. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m and the race starts at 8:00 a.m — community members are urged to join and show their support. Wiregrass Daily News
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A tornado hit Troy on Saturday and damaged the storm shelter at the Troy Recreation Center while scattering the building’s roof and breaking two wooden basketball courts—workers soon held a meeting to plan cleanup and repairs. More than 200 people from Pike County and nearby areas were sheltered at the facility, which closed immediately following the storm. WDHN
