- ➤ Lerwanna McClinden, the mother of Sincere Tyson who was murdered in 2021, is hosting the Sincere Tyson CEO Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser to raise money for a scholarship foundation for anyone in need. The event will take place March 29 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Master's Touch Creations with a $20 entry fee, dinner, door prizes, and adult beverages, and those who cannot attend may donate via Cash App at $NanNan11 or Zelle at Lerwanna McClinden. - ➤ Houston County Community Corrections in Dothan earned a perfect state assessment from the Alabama Department of Corrections—the only facility in the state to receive this honor. Director Tony Weber said the facility is remodeling its career center and the GED classes through Wallace Community College will go digital to offer participants more flexibility.
