  • Houston County Circuit Judge Chris Richardson ruled in favor of Harvest Church in its property dispute with the United Methodist Church that started in 2022 over the Fortner Street campus.   • Southeast Health Medical Center is expanding its Emergency Department to improve patient care. The construction is underway to boost treatment capacity for emergency cases.  WTVY
  • Officials in Houston County confirmed its first case of animal rabies in 2026 on Wednesday, Mar. 25 (at 5:51 p.m.) as they begin monitoring the situation closely.  WTVY
  • Live Health Smart Alabama will host a free community health fair on April 25 at the Dothan Housing Authority from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fair offers free screenings and educational sessions (in collaboration with Troy University and local medical partners) to expand access to preventive care.  Wiregrass Daily News
