  • Dothan’s tiny city block is at the corner of North Appletree, North College, and East Troy Streets and was declared the World’s Smallest in 1964 when featured in Ripley’s Believe It or Not—later confirmed by the World Record Academy; today, the landmark is marked by a granite monument, stop sign, yield sign, and street sign that attract curious visitors. The site once hosted a snack shop in the 1920s and a gas station in 1931 before later buildings were removed.  Wiregrass Daily News

GOVERNMENT NEWS
