  • Today at 1:45 p.m., local authorities responded to a distress call at Sadie's Flea Market on Hwy 231 South in Dothan when a K9 was found trapped inside a parked vehicle at 77°F — experts warn that temperatures inside cars can quickly rise to dangerous levels, and officials resolved the situation without harm.  Wiregrass Daily News

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • At 1:31 p.m. today, emergency crews in Gordon responded to a one-vehicle rollover accident at 3941 North County Road 95—responders found one patient with a broken femur and other injuries while a 13-year-old passenger fled into the woods with extensive injuries.  Rickey Stokes News
  • At approximately 1:31 p.m. on Saturday, Houston County emergency services responded to an overturned vehicle at 3941 North County Road 95 where a 21-year-old Hispanic male sustained a broken femur and a 14-year-old Hispanic juvenile fled into the woods but was later located and taken to Southeast Health as ALEA leads the investigation.  Wiregrass Daily News
  • A 5-year-old child was struck by an oncoming car Friday at 5:30 p.m. on Pike County 5516 near U.S. 231 south of Troy—airlifted to a local hospital for treatment—and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash.  WDHN
