ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A car hit a power pole on Fortner Street, leaving about 585 residents from Fortner to Brannon Street on Dothan’s west side without power—utility crews expected the outage to be fixed within 2—3 hours. WDHN
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Former Houston County deputy Scott Spivey was found dead on County Road 33 in the Hodgesville Community last Friday night in a suspected hit-and-run, and an autopsy is scheduled for later today — his church family prays for comfort while mourning his loss. WDHN
- ➤ A man was found dead on Highway 231 near Alpha Street in Midland City Monday morning in what authorities believe was a hit run incident—officials from the Dale County Sheriff’s Office, Midland City Police and ALEA are investigating the scene. WDHN

- ➤ Travis Parker of Enterprise was named April Veteran of the Month by U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville. Dothan Eagle
- ➤ Alabama residents have one month to get a STAR ID as only REAL ID-compliant licenses will be accepted for domestic flights after May 7th. Applicants must visit an ALEA office with four key documents to verify identity, Social Security number, and residence—officials warn high demand may cause delays. Wiregrass Daily News
