- ➤ Dothan Police say two women face charges for allegedly scamming a local resident out of over a million dollars, and the investigation may widen to include other suspects. WTVY
- ➤ A Dothan man was arrested for sending suspicious letters containing pornography to three Alabama House members plus one to Gov. Kay Ivey. Dothan Eagle
- ➤ A Slocomb woman, Joselina Elizabeth Lopez, was indicted by a Geneva County grand jury on charges of murder and corpse abuse for killing 41-year-old Benito Morales Guzman whose body was cut into pieces and left in a car behind his home — investigators found a chainsaw with human flesh and other tools that linked her to the crime. - ➤ Enterprise High School is preparing to present Harry Potter and the Cursed Child—its upcoming show that will take place soon. WTVY
- ➤ The historic D.A. Smith Middle School opened its new Career Exploration Center today as part of Ozark City Schools’ efforts to help students plan their future — Superintendent Reeivice Girtman said the opening marked a full circle for the school. Dothan Eagle
- ➤ Students at Jerry Lee Faine Elementary celebrated the grand opening of a new playground on Friday morning. Principal Tina Garst and Superintendent Dr. Dennis Coe said the playground — featuring swings, climbing walls and slides — was built to offer safe play after months of waiting. Wiregrass Daily News
