ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Sunday evening a two-vehicle wreck occurred at 10940 U.S. 231 near a bridge south of Dothan in Houston County, and one person was transported to Southeast Health — construction work by ALDOT complicated the area — ALEA troopers are investigating the accident. Rickey Stokes News
- ➤ Today at 6:52 a.m., a structure fire was reported at 1601 Galaxie Drive in Dothan and firefighters saw smoke and flames—multiple fire engine companies responded and had the fire under control by 7:25 a.m. Rickey Stokes News
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Latrevius Thomas-Jackson of Dothan was released after serving time for killing a man but was arrested hours later when police charged him with marijuana possession and obstruction of justice—he now faces an additional 12-year sentence while his lawyer fights for leniency. WTVY
- ➤ Over the weekend from April 11 to 13, police in Dothan and Houston County responded to several incidents including a high-speed motor vehicle accident on Highway 231 south of Dothan at 10:35 p.m., a firearm assault at Crazy Monkey Bar on Ross Clark Circle, and a structure fire at 1601 Galaxie Drive at 6:52 a.m., while Panama City Beach police chief J.R. Talamantez warned that Spring Break behavior would no longer be tolerated. Rickey Stokes News

- ➤ Wallace Community College’s Fine Arts Division will host its annual Spring Showcase at the Bencze Theatre (1141 Wallace Drive) on April 17 at 7:00 p.m. The event will include performances by choirs and ensembles, and tickets cost $5. Wiregrass Daily News
