- ➤ A Houston County man, Franklin Brown Jr., sexually assaulted a woman, beat her with a hammer, and tried to set her on fire when deputies responded to a domestic assault call on the 700 block of WG Bond Road on Friday—he eventually surrendered after a multi-hour standoff and is now facing multiple charges. - ➤ John Henry Watson, Jr.—a former state worker accused of sending porn images to the governor and lawmakers—was arrested on Thursday and now faces six counts of possessing pornographic material after agents searched his home and devices. WTVY
- ➤ A Dale County father and his stepson were arrested on April 17 for alleged sex abuse of two girls a few years ago (the father is charged with sexual abuse of a child) and (the stepson faces first-degree sodomy charges) after investigators acted on a tip and collected evidence at their Rabbit Road home. - ➤ Dothan police charged Zachary James Blakely with rape first degree, three counts of first degree sodomy, and one count of sexual abuse after a girl under 12 reported repeated assaults over several months (Lt. Scott Owens said no more details would be released). WTVY
