  • The Boys and Girls Club in Ozark will host a fundraiser tomorrow at the Ozark Civic Center at 5:30 p.m. to support their new Teen Center—guests 21 and older will enjoy catered food from Ketchums, a complimentary wine hour with a charcuterie spread, live jazz by La’Roy Bodiford and the Off the Chain Band, and are expected to wear denim and pearls while tickets cost $50 at the door.  WDHN

  • Comedy legend Sheryl Underwood will bring her Mix and Mingle Tour to the Dothan Opera House as part of an upcoming event. The star will perform live for local fans—promising an entertaining night.  Dothan Eagle

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Dothan special education teacher Sophia Hedrington won one of five national Crystal Apple Awards for her work at the Dothan City Early Education Center during Teacher Appreciation Week. She will receive a trophy and certificates totaling $750 — a $500 merchandise certificate for herself and a $250 certificate for her school.  Wiregrass Daily News
