- ➤ A Dothan woman, Nafeesah Thomas, who faced murder charges after stabbing her boyfriend at home (police said there was a history of domestic violence) was found guilty of manslaughter (a lesser charge) and got a 12-year sentence on Tuesday. WTVY

- ➤ Alice In Chains will perform at the Dothan Civic Center on May 15—with doors opening at 7:00 p.m.—with special guests Chained Saint as limited tickets remain available for Wiregrass fans. Wiregrass Daily News
- ➤ Landmark Park will hold its inaugural PRCA Rodeo on May 30 and 31 with events including bull riding, saddle bronc, barrel racing, calf roping plus steer wrestling. - ➤ Commissioners called for a state investigation into the Geneva County Sheriff’s Office after reports that guns were stolen surfaced on Tuesday+ Commissioner Weston Spivey said suspect Cody Johnson, who is related to Sheriff Tony Helms, took the firearms from his property, and Helms called the probe a witch hunt, saying his office is being unfairly singled out.
