Local community leaders and performer Asher HaVon will lead the TOPS People’s Parade Saturday, May 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in District 2 starting at New Beginning Church, with a follow-up TOPS Founder’s Unity Day Banquet at 7 p.m. at 805 N Lena Street.

Artists and community groups across the Wiregrass can apply online for a $10K Community Art Grant from Art in Public Places—applications are reviewed monthly with grants ranging from $200 to $3,500 in select counties.
🎓 Education
Dothan High School and All In Credit Union opened an on-campus branch to give students hands-on experience in financial services and customer service — a project that involved graphic design students and has local support.
The program helps students build key workplace skills.
🏛️ Government
The Dothan Houston County Library System will reduce hours starting May 11 after losing $99,000 from passport revenue — the main library now opens Monday–Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with Tuesday extended to 8 p.m., while Westgate opens Tuesday–Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with Saturday until 2 p.m.
Judge Henry D. Binford ruled late Wednesday that a restraining order against Frank Sanders (the parent) was lifted after he failed to show sufficient proof of intended violence toward Joshua Robertson.
