- ➤ Today, Dothan Fire and Pilcher’s responded to a two-vehicle wreck on Murphy Mill Road with patients reporting facial and leg injuries—officials warn of delays in the area. Yesterday, a Dale County chase ended with a suspect arrested on extra drug trafficking charges, and earlier this morning Dothan 911 sent units to a Columbia Highway medical emergency while Southeast Health will celebrate an A grade from Leapfrog. - ➤ Dothan’s Water World will open its 46th season tomorrow, May 3rd, with weekend hours on Saturdays from 10am to 5pm and Sundays from 12pm to 5pm until May 25th — the park will then offer all-week hours starting May 26th before switching to its regular summer schedule from Tuesday through Sunday, featuring attractions such as The Rip Tide Wave Pool and The Great White Slide. - ➤ Dothan Police are asking for help finding 16-year-old Breeanah Kathy Jackson, who was last seen on April 30 near the 2300 block of South Oates Street in Dothan wearing a grey shirt and black pants; anyone with information should call (334) 793-0215. WDHN
- ➤ A Dale County man, Cornelius Cooper, was arrested on Wednesday morning after he led deputies on a high-speed chase on Highway 231 near County Road 213—his car slid down an embankment as he fled and he dropped a bag with about 3,000 pills of suspected fentanyl, and he now faces charges of Felony Attempting to Elude and Drug Trafficking. - ➤ Houston County deputies arrested six suspects connected to a multi-state diesel theft ring after a report of missing fuel from a Dothan Hobo Pantry and further losses in Headland and Eufaula, and searches uncovered large fuel tanks + electronic pump devices, drugs and guns. Wiregrass Daily News

- ➤ Students from Carver 9th Grade Academy and Dothan High School will compete in the Mike Schmitz Automotive Group Challenge at the Dothan High School Convocation Center on May 8 at 9:00 a.m., with $25,000 in scholarships available. The contest rewards strong academics, attendance and FAFSA completion and will offer $10,000 for first place—$5,000 for second, $3,000 for third and $1,000 for fourth through tenth.
