The Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce renewed its Alabama Accredited Chamber designation for 2025-2028 at an event in Auburn.

It is one of six state chambers to renew the status and one of 31 chamber groups statewide—showing its strong commitment to high standards in business support.

Dothan police arrested Dwight Mills last year for killing his wife Sharon—23 years after her death and alleged Florida dumping—while his attorney filed a motion on Thursday asking a Houston County judge to drop the murder and corpse abuse charges using a letter that stated her autopsy showed no evidence of trauma.
