A single-vehicle crash on Highway 84 near Gladys Street in Level Plains injured a driver who was freed by bystanders and flown by helicopter to a hospital in Fort Walton Beach Friday — authorities from Dale County 911 and Enterprise 911 responded and are investigating the incident.

Dothan officials announced that the city will invest in pickleball facilities to boost tourism and recreation in the area.

The project is set to start soon and will offer new outdoor sporting options for residents and visitors.

Today, as Memorial Day weekend begins, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency launches its 101 Days of Summer Safety campaign to promote safe driving and boating through Labor Day.
