CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A child was taken to Flowers Hospital after being shot Tuesday afternoon on Kristie Road when a man fired into a car during an argument, Dothan Police said; the suspected shooter (Octavianus Thomas) was arrested and charged with assault in the first degree, attempted assault in the first degree and shooting into an Occupied Vehicle. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The cover band Rumours of Fleetwood Mac will perform live at the Dothan Civic Center on November 7 with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. and the show starting at 7:00 p.m.—Mick Fleetwood endorsed the band as it tours the U.S., Britain and Europe in 2025. WDHN

- ➤ Ashley Davis announced her candidacy for the Dothan City Board of Education District 5 seat. A mom of four with children in Dothan City Schools, she promised to improve transparency by making contracts and bids public—she will work to restore teacher support and student enrollment as the election takes place on August 5.
