- ➤ Former Alabama 4-H members known as The Castellows held a 'Homecoming' concert at The Plant in Dothan on May 30 to support local youth pursuing agricultural degrees—coinciding with the release of their new album that celebrates farm life and hometown roots. Dothan Eagle
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Dothan City Schools will host a Community Connection event on June 26 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. at the DCS Board Room on Honeysuckle Road — the event will bring together families, educators, and community partners to support student success both in and outside the classroom. Wiregrass Daily News
- ➤ Mixon Intermediate School received a $500 Lend a Hand grant for its S.A.I.L. campaign that uses trained students to support peers with academic, social, and emotional help. School staff led the program—where students met before class to work on math—and the school will expand support to include reading next year. WTVY
