- ➤ Local nonprofit Haven Oasis invites the community to a weekend BBQ fundraiser on June 21 and June 22 at the corner of Headland Avenue and East Stough Street in Dothan. Saturday runs from 2 p.m. until sold out and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m., and all proceeds support Haven Oasis programs — a chance for neighbors to share food and fellowship. Wiregrass Daily News

- ➤ Dothan Police identified Vincent Demire Phillips as the suspect in the Spring Street murder and issued a BOLO urging him to turn himself in at 334-793-0125 or for anyone with information to call 334-793-0215 — anyone caught hiding him may face criminal charges. Rickey Stokes News
- ➤ A Houston County family found a stuffed toy with 100 ecstasy pills hidden inside after noticing a tear in its packaging, and sheriff’s investigators confirmed the pills tested positive for MDMA + authorities are investigating the matter. Wiregrass Daily News
- ➤ At 1:08 PM, Dothan police responded to a firearm assault in the 400 block of Spring Street where a victim was found deceased—officers are investigating and managing a standoff with a possible suspect while Animal Control secured nearby dogs. Rickey Stokes News
