Three local men were honored at a Tuesday city council meeting for their quick actions on May 24 when they pulled an unconscious driver from a burning car that crashed into a ditch on Highway 84 near Gladys Street; they received a Life Saving Award and a Level Plains Police Department challenge coin plus further recognition for their bravery.

Chef Nick Rickman confirmed his new eatery Nick’s Chophouse Kitchen and Bar will open soon at 256 North Foster Street near Troy Street in downtown Dothan.
