- ➤ On Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Poplar Head Farmers Market will host its third annual Watermelon Fest in front of the Houston County Farm Center. The event will feature vendors, contests, and watermelon treats + a chance for local families to enjoy a fun morning outdoors. WTVY
- ➤ Wiregrass Honor Flight recently took eight Veterans and eight Guardians to Washington D.C. to visit memorials and is now raising funds for a flight to the Capitol. A fundraiser event, Judi’s Jam Band 4 Vets, will be held on Sunday June 29th from 2pm to 8pm at Cowboys in Dothan (featuring live music, a 50/50 raffle and food). WDHN

- ➤ At 9:58 a.m. today, Dothan 911 and Houston County Sheriff units recovered a stolen Southeast Gas truck spotted on Headland Avenue and arrested a suspect at the intersection of Leona and Wilson Streets—Dothan Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident. - ➤ At 1:30 a.m. on June 24, Ozark Police and Dale County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call at Aventura Court and found 25-year-old Lewis Anthony Whitehead fatally stabbed—his 24-year-old roommate, Zamarian Jamyus Jones, admitted to the act after an argument and is now in custody at Dale County Jail. - ➤ Dothan Police are searching for 14-year-old Lilly Brenda Crouthamel—last seen by her mother near Trillium Circle at Fieldcrest Apartments on June 24—who is 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, has black hair with blonde bangs and hazel eyes, and was wearing a black polo and black pants.
