Families in Ashford can pick up free breakfast and lunch for children and teens ages 2 to 18 at Mary's Sandwich Shop, 309 Midland St from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through July 31.

Dothan held a ribbon-cutting for the new Forever Wild Dog Park yesterday at the north trailhead of the Forever Wild Trails on Narcisse Drive.
The park has fenced areas for large and small dogs, as well as shaded seating, agility equipment, waste stations, and water fountains.

The Tri-State Community Orchestra celebrates America 250 with its concert Happy Birthday America that honors the nation’s milestone.

Dothan Leisure Services will host its final youth art camp (Art Americana) from June 29 to July 2.
The camp will run Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon for children aged 6 to 18 and will cost $100, which covers supplies and snacks with limited spots available.
Alabama announced it will open 64 new First Class Pre-K classrooms for the 2026–27 school year (Coffee, Dale and Houston counties), helping more children start kindergarten ready to learn.
The program has long been a trailblazer in early education.
