City officials opened a 6.4 million dollar pickleball complex on Saturday, July 11 at Rip Hewes Athletic Complex that offers 25 covered courts, innovative LED indirect lighting and space for tournaments and clinics.
More than 250 players joined free play as planning spanned nearly three years.
Dothan United captured the USL League 2 South Central Division title after a 3-0 win over Apotheos FC on Saturday at Rip Hewes Stadium, finishing their regular season with a 14-1-2 record.
The Dragons will host opening playoff rounds starting Thursday, July 16 — fixtures to be confirmed Monday.
