  • Governor Kay Ivey announced that 58 new classrooms will be built next school year to expand Alabama’s First Class Pre-K program at four area schools—A.M. Windham Elementary in Dale County, Kiddie Care Abbeville Early Learning Center in Henry County, and Cottonwood and Rehobeth Elementary Schools in Houston County. The program, which has served more than 24,000 students, is nationally recognized as a quality early learning initiative—expected to boost children's academic success.  WTVY
  • JT Carroll, a candidate for the Dothan City Schools Board of Education District 5, is using his military leadership background to build a stronger school system in Dothan—he plans to rebuild trust with parents and the community by listening and working together with educators, teachers, and students.  Wiregrass Daily News
