The Savoy Jones Benefit Foundation donated $10,000 to Jeep Sullivan’s Wounded Warriors Outdoors Adventures to help veterans and honor local athlete Savoy Jones—whose loss has led his family to support programs that can reduce veteran suicide.

The foundation will cut checks to Nate Patterson and Time Youth next week to show veterans they are not forgotten.

Dothan nonprofit B.R.A.V.E.—Battle Buddies Ready to Assist Veterans Everywhere—is asking residents to donate unused vehicles to help support veterans.

Donated cars, trucks or other vehicles can be fixed or scrapped with funds going to veteran assistance programs and donors must have a clean title to get a tax receipt.
