Deputies and police officers will serve guests at Texas Roadhouse on Thursday, July 30 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. as part of the annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser for Special Olympics Alabama.

Gospel legend Bill Gaither and the Gaither Vocal Band + special guests will perform at the Dothan Civic Center on December 12 at 6 p.m.; ticket sales launch on July 31 at 10 a.m. for this Homecoming Christmas tour event.
An outdoor art gallery project is taking shape in Dothan, where local artists are preparing a public space for creative displays.

ALDOT crews will begin road work on Monday, July 27 to rehabilitate a U.S. 231 bridge in Newton and resurface U.S. 84 from Boll Weevil Circle to the Dale County line in Coffee County.
Drivers should plan for lane shifts during these projects — work will affect traffic flow.

The 31st Annual South Alabama Pro Rodeo Classic will take place at the Dale County Ag-Plex in Ozark on Aug.
