Miss Dothan Callie Thompson and Teen Miss Dothan Emerson Cotton discussed a school supply distribution event—partnering with the city's housing authority and Dothan First Church—to help provide students with the essentials they need.

Dothan Leisure Services announced that the pickleball courts at Eastgate Park will close for maintenance from August 4 through August 8, and the courts will reopen on August 9 — city officials thanked the public for their patience as crews made improvements to keep the courts safe and enjoyable for all players.
