Wiregrass Electric Cooperative’s Operation Roundup Charitable Foundation awarded a $1,250 grant to Wiregrass Emergency Pregnancy Services to fund facility improvements including new steps at the client services entrance for better safety & accessibility.
The grant underscores members’ support for community projects.
ALIGN invites nonprofits, service providers and community partners to its first Advocacy Day on Friday, Nov.
13 from 1 to 6 p.m. at The Plant + 308 N. St. Andrews Street, where free vendor spaces will help share vital services and resources locally.
🎓 Education
The Dothan City School Board rejected a nearly $10 million plan to expand Carver School for Math, Science and Technology (intended to offer an option for seventh and eighth graders alongside Dothan Prep Academy).
Officials raised concerns about crowded classrooms and germ spread risks for students with health conditions.
Coffee County Schools will host an orientation today for incoming PreK and kindergarten students at local school facilities & help families get ready for the start of the school year.
