- ➤ More than 1,000 kids received new shoes and haircuts today at the Kicks and Cuts event held at the Dothan Civic Center by Church of the Crossing. Pastor John Dowdy said the event boosts student confidence and eases financial stress for families+ it also featured a sensory-friendly space to help children with special needs. Wiregrass Daily News
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Dothan 911 dispatched units at 6:37 p.m. to Biltmore Estates (2800 block of Fortner Street) following two firearm assaults that left one person shot in the foot, one shot in the chest, and one not breathing while first responders applied a tourniquet and a suspect was identified. Rickey Stokes News
- ➤ Two men were shot at a Dothan apartment complex Sunday evening — police said one man suffered a chest wound while the other was hit in the foot at Biltmore Estates on the 2800 block of Fortner Street, and no suspect was arrested. WDHN
- ➤ Two men were shot late Sunday at about 6:40 in Dothan at the Biltmore Place apartment community along Fortner Street—one man, age 41, was critically wounded in his abdomen while the other, age 21, received a foot injury. WTVY
