- ➤ Following unofficial results in the Dothan District 2 race, Kirksey received 311 votes, Tiller 294 votes, and Dorinda McGowan 123 votes—so Kirksey and Tiller will face a runoff since no candidate reached the 50% threshold. WTVY
- ➤ Dothan’s school superintendent race shows Julie Mullins-Turner holding a 12-vote lead over Wes Grant from over 7,000 ballots while the District 1 commission race has Vivian K. Daniels leading Kevin Dorsey by 6 votes from 1,072 ballots—officials are considering a recount. City officials will contact the Alabama League of Municipalities today to review if recount rules apply and will verify provisional ballots over the coming days. WTVY

- ➤ Voters in Dothan’s District 3 cast ballots Tuesday and left no clear winner for the city commission as Bradley Bedwell received 586 votes — 47.6% — and David Haight received 365 votes. A runoff is scheduled for September 16 and Bedwell said he will continue meeting with residents before the vote. WTVY
