A community-led 100 Mile Walk for recovery and overdose awareness is set to take place in Dothan soon, promoting support & inspiring local efforts to assist those in recovery.

Administrators and staff gathered at the Houston County Institute—a wrestling-themed event—to ready themselves for Monday’s school return.
Members of the Wiregrass Legislative Delegation also attended to support the district's academic success.

Hand-painted ceiling tiles with words of hope have been placed in Southeast Health’s fourth-floor critical care unit after a therapeutic recreation participant expanded a family member’s idea (Nurse Manager Becky Yeomens noted the tiles have lifted patient spirits).

Student athletes faced dangerous heat during fall practices as trainers urged them to hydrate and take cooling breaks; athletic trainer Lori Long & her team met with local coaches to adjust drills and review temperature to prevent heat illness.
