- ➤ Ozark attorney John Nicholas 'Nicky' Bull was inducted into the inaugural class of the Troy University Band Alumni Fanfare Society Saturday during halftime of the Troy vs. Memphis football game. He was honored for his decades of musical service — which includes his time as band captain at Troy and his ongoing support for civic arts. Dothan Eagle

- ➤ On Tuesday, Dothan voters in Districts 2, 3 and 5 will head to the polls to elect two Associate Commissioners and one school board member for a four-year term—endorsed candidates Phillip Kirksey, Bradley Bedwell and Ashley Whitfield Davis are vying for the positions. Rickey Stokes News
