  • On Wednesday night, 17 Wiregrass HonorFlight veterans received a hero’s welcome at Daleville Convention Center after a trip to Washington where they visited monuments honoring their service. Family, friends, and local children presented them with a large envelope of letters—reviving a cherished mail call tradition.  WTVY
  • Chris Warren, director of the Dothan-Houston County Library System, was selected as a coach for the PLA Leadership Academy and he said he was honored to serve while sharing his history with the program.  WTVY
  • ConnectHer Conference will be held at Dothan Area Botanical Gardens to bring local women together for networking and educational sessions — organizers aim to provide critical resources and opportunities for community engagement.  WTVY

  • Dothan native Spiro Cheriogotis won the September runoff election for Mayor of Mobile with 51.4% of the vote against State Representative Barbara Drummond. He will take office in early November—having served as a district court judge and prosecutor before his campaign.  Rickey Stokes News
