  • Houston County responded to an edged weapon assault in Cottonwood at 2:20 a.m.—with officers and rescue teams on scene—and Dothan Fire Engine Companies were dispatched to a structure fire on Candlewood Drive at 12:07 p.m., where smoke was reported near a bedroom. A benefit party to support baby Noah’s family is planned, and the Houston County Sheriff’s Cup Golf Tournament will be held on October 30 at RTJ Highland Oaks in Dothan.  Rickey Stokes News
