  • The Dothan Elks Lodge is preparing to host its Breast Cancer Masquerade — 'Unmask the Fight' event to raise awareness and support local efforts in the fight against breast cancer.  WTVY
  • A vendor is selling fresh green boiled peanuts on the corner of South State Hwy 109 and Hwy 605 just south of Rehobeth — the peanuts will be available until they sell out.  Rickey Stokes News
  • On November 13, the Hawk-Houston Youth Enrichment Center will host its annual Pennies from Heaven Community Outreach Luncheon and Mini Health Fair & Screening at 329 Chickasaw Street in Dothan, with the luncheon running from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. plus the health screenings from 1 to 3 p.m. Local community leaders including Mayor Mark Saliba, Bernard Ward, and Dr. Rochester Johnson Jr. will speak and a $25 donation is requested to support youth and family programs while vendors should RSVP by October 31.  Wiregrass Daily News
