  • The Harbor and First United Methodist Church will host a kickball tournament on November 1 to raise awareness for homelessness—details were provided by Derek Tiller.  WTVY

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Representatives from the Southeast Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission explained the Head Start Program serves children from birth to five at centers in Opp, Andalusia, Florala, Geneva and Eufaula by offering education, health and family support. The program will mark Head Start Awareness Month with events such as Dance and Donuts with Dads—designed to help parents act as their child's first teacher.  Wiregrass Daily News
