- ➤ Moma Tina's Mission House in Dothan is calling on community members to donate and volunteer to prepare 500 Thanksgiving meal plates for over 1,000 families—volunteers will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day at 605 North Alice Street to support meals for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. The funds came from the Alabama Research and Development Advancement Fund and will back a pilot agtech project, a crop improvement study, and a tree genetics project—efforts to boost farming and protect forests statewide.
