- ➤ Enterprise Parks and Recreation will invite local businesses and brands to sponsor youth sports and recreation programs in 2026—this effort aims to support local youth and strengthen community programs. Dothan Eagle
- ➤ Leaders from Dothan City Schools volunteer at the Wiregrass Area Food Bank today from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to sort, package and distribute food items—one in six local residents and one in four children face hunger daily. WTVY

- ➤ The Park Series Vol. 5 will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Porter Park and Events Plaza on North Saint Andrews Street in downtown Dothan and will run from 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. — the free event features live music from local and regional artists and food trucks with support from community sponsors. - ➤ Patty Rutland Jazz presents Santa's Workshop with two showings—one on December 1 at the Dothan Civic Center and another on December 14 at the Trojan Center. WTVY
- ➤ Art in Public Places and the city of Dothan received an $84,000 matching grant from the Levitt Foundation to fund a free outdoor concert series at Porter Park Amphitheater beginning in 2026—this project will host 7-10 concerts annually through 2028 after strong nationwide public support placed the initiative second among finalists. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Dothan City Schools announced that 190 students have earned industry recognized certifications through Career and Technical Education programs so far this school year. At Dothan High School, 148 students earned credentials in fields like Agriscience, Construction, Culinary Arts, Graphic Arts, Pre-Engineering and Welding while 42 Carver 9th Grade Academy students achieved a Microsoft Office Specialist certification.
