  • Sumner E. Stapleton, Jr. (Buddy) died on Dec. 4 at age 89 in the community he loved. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with military honors, followed by a private family service, and contributions are requested in lieu of flowers.  Rickey Stokes News
  • Mary Reed and Lori Wilcoxon from the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce detailed upcoming plans for the Keep the Cheer Here campaign + Christmas Sip & Shop, which will boost holiday shopping and local celebrations.  WTVY

  • Jackie Snell, the Southeast HIV District Manager, said rising HIV cases trace to lack of insurance, care and stigma. A bat on Elm Street tested positive for rabies this year, and Flowers Hospital earned its sixth Straight A for patient safety.  WTVY
  • Houston County officials confirmed its third rabies case. A bat found dead on a porch on Elm Street in April tested positive for the disease.  WTVY
