- ➤ Sumner E. Stapleton, Jr. (Buddy) died on Dec. 4 at age 89 in the community he loved. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with military honors, followed by a private family service, and contributions are requested in lieu of flowers.
