- ➤ Chow’s Country Buffet will open soon in Dothan at the former Ryan’s Steakhouse on South Oates next to Walmart. It will offer over 300 items of southern and Asian cuisine with pricing similar to other locations, and an opening day has not been announced. WTVY
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Local radio personality Chuck Leonard, known for his long career in the Dothan market and originally from Birmingham, died late Friday, Dec. 19 after battling health issues (he had been in hospice care) and is survived by his wife Carole and two children. WTVY
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ For three days (including today), residents along Cottonwood Road and Ross Clark Circle have seen smoke from BBQ smokers as parents and students work to raise funds with cooking efforts for the Houston County High School Marching Band in Columbia. Rickey Stokes News
