ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A single-vehicle crash on Highway 84 near Gladys Street in Level Plains injured a driver who was freed by bystanders and flown by helicopter to a hospital in Fort Walton Beach Friday — authorities from Dale County 911 and Enterprise 911 responded and are investigating the incident. - ➤ Dothan officials announced that the city will invest in pickleball facilities to boost tourism and recreation in the area. The project is set to start soon and will offer new outdoor sporting options for residents and visitors. Dothan Eagle
- ➤ Today, as Memorial Day weekend begins, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency launches its 101 Days of Summer Safety campaign to promote safe driving and boating through Labor Day. The campaign includes education and enforcement measures—targeting impaired and distracted driving, speeding, and boating under the influence—to help ensure everyone returns home safely. - ➤ The Alabama Department of Public Health is urging locals to follow grilling safety tips to reduce fire risks during summer cookouts as grill use peaks from May through August—July sees the most grill-related fires.
